The cathedral city of St Albans is situated to the north of London set amongst Hertfordshire’s rolling green countryside.
Its colourful history can be seen all over the city in the Roman remains and beautiful medieval architecture. There are lush green parks all around this historic city with excellent attractions such as the Cathedral, the Roman theatre and various museums. Schooling for all ages is considered to be of a high standard in and around St Albans.
This market town has an array of shopping facilities with many small independent shops amongst the better known high street stores and a fantastic range of eating and drinking establishments both independent and chain.
The City Centre offers a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays which runs the length of St Peter’s Street offering an excellent shopping experience to complement the established retail stores. St Albans is just 20 minutes away from London St Pancras International. This line also connects to a variety of other London stations such as West Hampstead, Kentish Town and Farringdon for further underground connections. St Albans also offers direct train services to Gatwick Airport and Brighton to the south and London Luton Airport and Bedford to the north.
London Luton and Heathrow airports are both easily accessible by road from St Albans as it is serviced by the M1 and M25 motorways. The A1 is also very close for further access to London and the North.
